LVRC Claydon Spring Classic 17 April Results

Report from Graham Hills:

Graham Douce and I rode the LVRC Claydon Spring Classic C/D yesterday.

Unfortunately Graham punctured early on, as I had done a couple of weeks ago. I was luckier this time, I got into the first move which I thought was going to work, but was caught. Then also got in the second move 2nd time up the main hill, which stuck and we were away with a group of 9, with 2 solo riders ahead soon swept up to make 11 – our group had one other D.
After a short period of working well the break then attacked each other for most of the remaining 35 miles, eventually resulting in 2 C riders away. I finished about 6th in the sprint, but 2 places behind the other D Rob O’Connor (Jewson) for 2nd place, and about 8th overall.

Happy to be in the moves, wanted to win D cat but didn’t really have the legs!
